Witness the rewriting of history in action

The Hashemite kingdom that rules the area once loosely known as “Palestine” east of the river (until it was termed Trans-Jordan and later Jordan by the British), has decided to try to scrub itself of this history. In 100 years’ time, based on the track record of society’s current willingness (with the expert aid of the media) to forget history, perhaps even the historians will eventually assert the myth that Jordan was there from time immemorial.

Why? Because they don’t want to import ideologies of relatives of citizens that are members of the death cult currently inhabiting Judea, Samaria, and Gaza. I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same in their shoes. I always tell Jewish friends that begin to question who’s right and who’s wrong in the conflict to take a look at what each side is teaching their children. One of them is committing child abuse. I’ll give you a single guess.

Nothing will change the fact that Jordan is a fabrication, and that as Netanyahu (as Benjamin Nitay) stated emphatically decades ago as a graduate in America: the Palestinian Arabs have a state, and it’s name is Jordan.

Other famous rewrites going on right now:

* Many Arabs currently residing in Judea, Samaria and Gaza continue to be called Palestinians by all, including misguided Israelis. This implies a false national identity that was thrust on the arabs of the region by Arafat y’s'v circa 1967. I see no reason to perpetuate a brutal error by using such terminology. If you want to call Israel “Palestine”, be historically consistent and call Jerusalem “Aelia Capitolina“.

[Note that in an age where people who constantly stress their rights rather than their obligations, my steadfast hold to reality does not deny that the Arabs in question possess rights. Just not all the ones they demand. And again, your right to life is forfeit if you seek to deny it of others.]

* Palestinian Arab children are being taught that there was never any Temple on the Temple Mount (let alone two of them), that the Jews fabricated this. Of course, this threatens Christianity also.

* The Muslim Waqf (for some mystifying reason the organisation that remains in charge of the Temple Mount) continues their systematic destruction of archaeological evidence testifying to the Jewish presence in, on and around the Temple Mount. This will help to reinforce the above school childrens’ textbooks.

There are many others. The Western World’s eager complicity is sickening. But as can be seen by the above example of Temple Mount history, threatening Jewish history to undermine Israel will have consequences for all.

The worst part is that you’ll never get a peace based on any semblence of fact if you allow fiction to take hold.

Below is Mr. Toameh’s article (excerpts)

Today is Rosh Hodesh Av. In nine days time we remember the destruction of the Temples.

Amman begins stripping state’s Palestinians of citizenship

Jul. 20, 2009
Khaled Abu Toameh , THE JERUSALEM POST
Jordanian authorities have started revoking the citizenship of thousands of Palestinians living in Jordan to avoid a situation in which they would be “resettled” permanently in the kingdom, Jordanian and Palestinian officials revealed on Monday.

The new measure has increased tensions between Jordanians and Palestinians, who make up around 70 percent of the kingdom’s population.

[...]

The Jordanians have justified the latest measure by arguing that it’s aimed at avoiding a situation in which the Palestinians would ever be prevented from returning to their original homes inside Israel.

Since 1988, when the late King Hussein cut off his country’s administrative and legal ties with the West Bank, the Jordanian authorities have been working toward “disengaging” from the Palestinians under the pretext of preserving their national identity.

[Jordan's Interior Minister Nayef al-]Kadi claimed that the kingdom was seeking, through the new measure, to thwart an Israeli “plot” to transfer more Palestinians to Jordan with the hope of replacing it with a Palestinian state.

“We insist that Jordan is not Palestine, just as Palestine is not Jordan,” he stressed. “We will continue to help the Palestinians hold on to their Palestinian identity by pursuing the implementation of the 1988 disengagement plan from the West Bank.”
